Is your laptop's touchpad too sensitive? Or maybe it's not responding well enough? Here's how to adjust it:
On Windows 11
- Click the Start button
- Go to Settings (the gear icon)
- Click Bluetooth & devices
- Click Touchpad
- Adjust the "Touchpad sensitivity" setting
On Windows 10
- Click the Start button
- Go to Settings
- Click Devices
- Click Touchpad
- Adjust the sensitivity settings
Sensitivity Options
- Most sensitive: The touchpad responds to the lightest touch
- High sensitivity: Good for light typists
- Medium sensitivity: Balanced setting (default)
- Low sensitivity: Requires more pressure, good if you accidentally trigger the touchpad while typing
