What "End of Support" Means
After October 2025, Microsoft will stop providing:
- Security updates (this is the big one)
- Bug fixes
- Technical support
Can You Still Use Windows 10?
Yes, your computer will still work. But without security updates, you'll be vulnerable to new viruses and security threats. We don't recommend using an unsupported operating system for anything involving personal information, banking, or sensitive data.
Your Options
- Upgrade to Windows 11: If your computer meets the requirements, this is often a free upgrade.
- Buy a new computer: If your computer is older, it might be time for a replacement.
- Extended Security Updates: Microsoft may offer paid security updates for businesses.
